The wilderness is a place where people meet God. The Israelites were called into the wilderness and wandered there for many years as God formed and transformed them into his special people, both individually and corporately. Many times throughout his earthly ministry, Jesus drew his disciples apart into the wilderness, or at least to a quiet place, to meet with him and to explain more fully and competely the teachings he was giving to the crowds who were following him. We need to come away from the business of everyday life and listen to what the Master is trying to teach us in our day. He wants to meet with us in the wilderness, where it is quiet and peaceful. WORDSEEDS FROM THE WILDERNESS is a call to reconciliation, healing, and restoration of us as individuals and as God's people. It is a compilation of messages and practical instruction which the Lord has given for his people. God is calling, but who will answer? He wants to reconcile, heal, and restore his people to an intimate union with him in our day. Who will heed his call? Will you? The element that brings about reconciliation, healing, and restoration is Jesus Christ, our common Head, and his love and compassion as we allow it to be ministered through us. He is the only true Foundation on which we can be successfully established. Jesus alone is the center and foundation of what it means to be a Christian and a part of God's Family in the fullest sense.
