PRAYER EMPHASIS

As Christian believers, we feel a responsibility to help guide others in prayer for our world.  Sometimes our prayers will focus upon very diverse and broad topics and other times on very limited areas of need. . We all need to acknowledge God’s sovereign majesty, to thank Him for what we have, and to petition for daily and more universal needs.

We ask that you join us in our focus area as you also seek for solutions to the many problems that confront us daily.  As we bring forth topics of universal prayer needs, we hope you will use these petitions along with your own petitions to pray for your family, friends, country, governing bodies, military forces, and all the people of the world.

That God’s Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

That we all become one with Christ as He is one with His Father so that the world may believe that the Father sent Him.

That through the natural events which seem to be increasing in intensity people will be drawn to and reconciled with their Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

For people working for peace in the Middle East that they never tire in their efforts to succeed.

For aid workers in the earthquake, typhoon, flood, and fire affected areas that their work proceed in peace and unhindered.

For the sick, especially those who are poor.  May they receive care and treatment worthy of their human dignity.

For missionaries.  May they grow in fervent love, which is indispensable for proclaiming the Gospel with conviction.

For those who feel condemned, rejected, or unwanted.

God of the poor, Friend of the weak, Give us compassion, we pray.  Melt our cold hearts, let tears fall like rain, Change our love from a spark to a flame.  Graham Kendrick: http://www.grahamkendrick.com.uk
